The Russian Research Institute of Blood Circulation Pathology named after E.N. Meshalkin, Novosibirsk, Siberia, and the Khristianovich Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Siberian Branch of RAS, are developing an original implantable artificial heart pump. The miniature heart device is designed by Russian scientists to provide the proper blood circulation in the heart and even to completely replace the heart function in the future.
